MBTA –Heavy Rail
Project is the complete installation and test of the PTC and ATC equipment onboard 218 MBTA vehicles. All vehicles are existing and need retrofit work to install the equipment. Project includes completing the software upload, configuration, and updates.

Communication System Upgrade
MDOT –Light Rail
Project is the overhaul of the existing Light Rail Vehicles. RL Controls is modernizing the Communications network, CCTV network and wayside offload backhaul system as well as onboard APC system. There are 53 Vehicles and2 Rail Maintenance Yards.

Project is both onboard and wayside. MTA is purchasing new train cars and replacing its existing train control system. RL Controls is designing the onboard Communications Systems and the wayside network. There are 40 Married Pairs, 15.6 Miles of Track, and 1 Large Maintenance Yard

Tunnel Portal Monitoring System

Project is the upgrade of the Tunnel Portal Monitoring System (TPMS) for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). The Tunnel Portal Monitoring System covers locations where transit services transition from above ground to below ground. The TPMS is considered a critical system for MBTA Operations and Security.

Project is the for RF Engineering design services for the MBAT North Side ATC Project. Hitachi Rail is removing all of the intermediate signals and the RF design needs to be prepared for the new configuration.

Project is to install Wi-Fi in Amtrak trains all over the country. RL Controls has completed install in Chicago, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Seattle, and Oakland.

Public Safety Vehicle Install
Massport – Public Safety
Project is to upgrade RF radio network throughout Massport fleet of vehicles. Vehicles include everything from Fire Service vehicles, Fire Boats, Snowplows, Service vehicles, and Supervisor vehicles.
